Re: The Hobbit ported to CoCo2 and CoCo3 - DW4 - ENDED!

Hello, I found a hidden bug in the Hobbit that only 'arises' if you want to play in a machine using a D.O.S. different from the one you had started the CoCo with. I have a CoCo3 with floppies and CoCo-SDC on an MPI. If I select the floppies (slot 4) the CoCo starts with RS-DOS, then I load from a fl...

Re: RetroParla 8.0 (Madrid-SPAIN)

Hi, these friends at retrowiki are that kind ... Anyway you know there have been many people working to drive that project to the correct end. We were targetting the Dragon as the plattform for that game ... And it has ended working for the CoCo2, CoCo3 and now via drivewire even for the CoCo-FPGAs ...

Playing the Hobbit on a Dragon 32 (expanded) via DW

Hi, this are two images of my Dragon 32 expanded with the +32k by Tormod Volden. I have changed the internal ROM IC17 by a new one that contains the DLOAD command modified to talk to DW servers. With the help of that ROM I do load a Special program that installs the HDB-DOS in my Dragon32+32. The lo...

Re: The Hobbit ported to the Dragon64k - DOS - ENDED!

Hello, I have received the mensual Glenside newsletter and there is an article about the port of the Hobbit. A bit old (v16f4) when we are at v16f9 but complete anyway ... http://www.glensideccc.com/data/library/newsletters/gccc36_2nl.pdf By the way, Bill Pierce, from the FaceBook group has told me ...

Re: The Hobbit ported to the Dragon64k - DOS - ENDED!

Hi, we wanted to be able to run the Hobbit even from Drivewire. That forces some important changes. HDB-DOS has to be used instead of our DDOS / SuperDOS / DosPlus and the discs will be 160k. So we need two discs instead of just a big one. The standard version (not DW) has no changes, so you could s...

Re: The Hobbit ported to CoCo2 and CoCo3 - DW4 - ENDED!

Hi, Since I uploaded last version (v16f8) I have been figthing against Drivewire. CoCoFPGA Users said it doesn't work and that's true! The process has been awful to say the less. Cannot trace nor debug a program that uses the whole 64k Maybe in the future with the GODIL project things will change! B...

Re: mad hatter strikes back

Hi Simon,
I saw and heard that on FB too.
That's another great work with your signature!
The mp3 sounds really great, but the bin file when executed on XRoar
emulating a Dragon is noticiably noisy!

cheers
