Re: File2VDK anyone?

Hi Tony, no worries ... What you are asking for, already exists, just search for: "Dragon DOS v0.5.1.0 snapshot g97c720b" or something like "DragonTools" both by Rolf Michelsen. The only 'con' for you is that they work on an OLD DOS window, probably only worth for windows users, sorry. Maybe other u...

Re: File2VDK anyone?

Hi Tony, keep into acount that RSDOS and Dragon DOS or DosPlus are absolutely incompatible. I am sure that it is possible to pass info (programs) from one format to the other, but as we all know, a program working on one of them could simply crash on the other ... so, could you explain a bit what yo...

Re: File2VDK anyone?

Now if we want to compare CoCo format with Dragon formats, then - a CoCo disquet has 35 tracks each 18 sectors, so 630 sectors each 256 bytes = 161,280 bytes (unformatted) - A Dragon disquet can exist in four different flavours: --- 1 side single density: 40 tracks x 18 sectors = 720 sectors = 184,3...

Re: File2VDK anyone?

Hello friends, The question put by Tony was to distinguish between DSK and VDK, and this is very simple: - VDK is a sequence of sectors with a header that could be any length. The recomended length is 256 because that way it is Drivewire compatible too. - The DSK is just s VDK without the header. Th...

Re: XRoar and file stderr.txt

Hello Ciaran, This is what the user sees (in windows) when starting a bat file that calls xroar: XRoar start screenshot small.jpg The info that got written to the stderr file was different, for instance WARNING: Hitachi HD6309 support is UNVERIFIED! Module init: Windows SDL UI Module init: Windows f...

Re: XRoar and file stderr.txt

Hello, I have checked the date of that file ... The last time it was modified was in ... August, 3rd, 2015 I am using right now "XRoar v0.33.1-2015-33312 w64" and testing older versions, going backwards, I have found the first that updates this file to be this one: XRoar v0.33.1-2015-23382 w64 maybe...

XRoar and file stderr.txt

Hi Ciaran, I see that XRoar is not creating/updating the file stderr.txt as it did in previous versions In that file I could find the starting up files it had used ... to track errors. I work with Window$, and I have not found this filename in my harddisk. Has it changed the name? or is there any wa...

Re: DragonDOS 5.0

you are right, Phill I make backups to an external big USB disk and to a pendrive, this last only for my 'special' works. Anyway, the problem that I have found is that in XRoar the rsdos10c.rom works alright 'inside' a CoCo controller, but the other one, the rsdos10d.rom 'inside' a Dragon controller...

Re: DragonDOS 5.0

Hi, as lately it has been asked what DOS should / could be used on a Dragon disk controller with a CoCo2, I have tried the rsdos10 files that come with this version 5.0 on XRoar. Using the rsdos10c.rom and rsdos type cartridge it works alright But when using rsdos10d.rom and dragondos cartridge it h...

Re: A DOSPlus Extender for Drivewire & CoCo-SDC

Hi Tormod! after having added the autoboot feature, I realized that most of the time I didn't want it to happen so I decided to let it boot only if the user presses the SPACE bar key. Then Tony had the good idea of making it start the AUTOLOAD.DWL file if it existed and DW4 was on. To have the same ...
