Re: The Cloud-9 SuperIDE Interface
No, they are accessed at the sector level. You don't copy a disk image to a filesystem on the CF card. The individual sectors of a disk image are mapped to specific sectors on the CF card.

Re: CoCo Disk Controller
Along these lines, is there a thread or other document that discusses the differences between SuperDOS and DragonDOS?

Re: CoCo Disk Controller
I think SuperDOS originally ran on DragonDOS-compatible hardware. So by default, SuperDOS won't work on a CoCo controller. But, there exists somewhere a version of SuperDOS that has been modified to work on a CoCo controller. So long as you use the correct SuperDOS image, you should be fine. Beyond ...

Re: CoCo Disk Controller
YMMV, but ISTRC that the CoCo and Dragon controller hardware is slightly different with regard to how critical timing operations are handled. So the "properly modified" ROM isn't just a rewiring job for the chip, but also some modifications to the code itself. I think that Phill Harvey-Smith is prob...

Re: Dragon <-> PC serial cable
Thanks for the quick response! That cable hook-up sounds reasonable to me. I just wondered if anyone else had done that -- now I know! ![Smile :-)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Dragon <-> PC serial cable
I'm interested in constructing a "NULL modem" serial cable for my Dragon to talk to my PC. The primary use would be for console-style access to a custom monitor program for remote software development on a PC. The Dragon serial pinouts list DTR (but no DSR) and CTS (but no RTS). How does existing Dr...

Re: 44 on-screen colours from a CoCo 1/2 or Dragon 32/64
Awesome! Thanks for the testing and the pics/video! The effects look more-or-less similar to what xroar showed. It looks like the timing code is actually working, even though it thinks it is running on NTSC. I guess the extra hsync signals inserted for adapting to PAL video aren't visible to softwar...

Re: 44 on-screen colours from a CoCo 1/2 or Dragon 32/64
There are WAV files available already. Have you tried those? The xroar emulator seems to consume them FWIW. What is your setup? It seems like a WAV file would be more friendly to loading on a real machine? What tool do you use for building CAS files? The cecb tool from Toolshed doesn't seem to want ...
