Re: D32 Play Or Die: No. 1 (?)

Well... I kinda hope somebody has decided to join me in this and tried Shaolin Master. So much of this game is woeful but it definitely showed a little promise. The control system (which all the enjoyment of fighting games hang on) is actually ok. If you have a friend to play with then it's probably...

D32 Play Or Die: No. 1 (?)

So, I've seen this done on a few forums across the internet and thought it might be fun here. The idea is pretty simple, every Friday I'll pick a game and then we play until either we've completed it or we literally can not stand the thought of playing it ever again. After either of those events, we...

Re: Cursor colour?

Ah! Good call - that's exactly what I did. :D Thank you.

That's an interesting feature - tis great that those machines can still surprise you with new stuff. :)

Cursor colour?

I'm working on a bit of machine code (intended to run from a cartridge) which executes, does some stuff and then returns to BASIC. I don't have the source code handy but basically, right now it runs, copies a string to the display, resets the text cursor position to the top left, clears the screen, ...

Re: Introducing: Dragon multi-cartridge for roms

I'm sure Rolo won't mind me telling you all this, but we had a little project exchange and so I've been playing with one his multicarts this evening... What a great bit of kit this is. 32 8k rom files on one cartridge barely any larger than a regular cart, and it works perfectly. Build quality is go...

Re: Toolkit by Premier Microsystems, pics and pdf.

Cool. Nice work guys - just put the rom file onto a cartridge board and it seems to work on a real Dragon.

I say 'seems'... Haven't really had time to read the manual yet and properly test it out. :)

Re: Toolkit by Premier Microsystems, pics and pdf.

That method of preventing a cartridge from auto-starting has been widely used by Dragon owners for many years. It was mentioned here in 2010. I didn't join until late 2011. :) It's not something I would have considered seaching for - just came up with my own elaborate schemes when needed. Which to ...

Re: Toolkit by Premier Microsystems, pics and pdf.

Found the link I was after: http://archive.worldofdragon.org/index.php?title=Tape%5CDisk_Preservation#Dumping_ROMS In the dumping roms section, it describes the general principal behind dumping the Dragon's system roms. However, for standard carts (looks like the Toolkit is just a rom and chip selec...

Re: Toolkit by Premier Microsystems, pics and pdf.

I think there's a page on the wiki - I'll try to find it. But doing it from the Dragon involves breaking the cartridge's autostart mechanism if memory serves. Having said that, if the Toolkit returns to you to BASIC or let's you run BASIC then it should be doable. I had to throw together a Dragon ca...
