Re: BATTLE SHIPS for a trip down memory lane

I did try that originally.

CLOAD
->
S
?IO ERROR
OK

CLOAD "" (sometimes returns as above, othertimes)
->
F BATTLE S
?IO ERROR
OK

My system doesn't seem to like that .wav at all. Running XRoar 0.26 btw - I'll try updating and let you know what happens.

Re: BATTLE SHIPS for a trip down memory lane

I'm getting an ?FM error when trying to load this with XRoar. Haven't had a chance to try it on an actual Dragon 32 yet though.

CLOADM ""
->
F BATTLE S
?FM ERROR
OK

Re: DC.exe "problem"...

Is the source code available for FixCas? It looks like I may need to re-implement it in my app.

Re: DC.exe "problem"...

Hello again :D, Rather than start a new forum post, I thought I'd just tack this on here. I've been AWOL for a while and just picking up this project again. Recording and playing WAVs all got done; as did the ability for the app to record the audio stream and save it as a RAW binary .CAS file. Which...

Re: History of Home Computers

It would have been interesting to see the evolution of any of the old companies; I always imagined a Dragon 16-bit offering would be similar to the Amiga 500 or Atari ST... but then what? If the market hadn't changed so drastically, what would Dragon (or even guys like Commodore/Atari) be producing ...

Re: Joysticks..

Nice one mate. Hadn't seen that booklet before and aside from the joystick stuff, there's a few other bits of info in there I'm glad I now know. :-) I should be ok schematic/design wise, but if you come across any, I'd definitely say post it. If it isn't immediatiately useful to me then no doubt it ...

Re: Autostart...

Great googly moogly - you're amazing! Really excellent info, thank you so much.

Am I right in thinking that you can specify the load address (e.g. $167) in one of the header blocks used by the .cas format?

Autostart...

'lo :) I'm just getting into a bit of Dragon programming (mainly 6809 assembly, but some BASIC too) and I was wondering if someone could tell me, maybe with a bit of a code snippet, how the autostart/autorun and "loading screens" on commercial titles work? A response to a letter in Dragon User indic...
