Re: I need any Dragon text books

Hi Snark/Cloete

Any chance you can email me that Dragon Companion book also? The chapter on extending BASIC could really help me out. You can reach me at rink DOT wraith @ yahoo.com if that would be convenient.

Many thanks,

Dragon Cartridges + BASIC...

Hi there, Bit of a techie question here. I'm just wondering how the cartridges work - or to be specific, I'll give a theoretical example: :) If I had a cartridge which offers nothing more than a few extra BASIC commands, how would this work? Would the cart identify itself as a disk controller and th...

Re: Everybody else is doing it...

Bar/beer tent? i'm in.

Actually, i'm probably in regardless. Great idea - but a 30th birthday party should definetly include a celebratory pint.

Jack Tramiel Passes (Aged 83)

Not Dragon related obviously, but I thought it was probably relevant enough news to people here to warrant posting something. The founder of Commodore died on sunday. In a way, I kinda have the same feelings as I had when Steve Jobs passed away. From all the accounts I've read about Jack over the ye...

Re: Making the games 'friendly' to download

I have a phone app (I've not released it yet though) which allows you to browse a coverflow/list of wav and cas files (experimental support) imported from Dropbox or through iTunes sharing. You can play them obviously, but you can also save new ones to record any programs you've written (special cab...

Re: Weird Computer Games (Book)

Is that site real? It said I had to wait 45 minutes, then after the countdown just changed to "YOU CAN ONLY DOWNLOAD 1 FILE AT A TIME"! :? It is... I download stuff from it all the time (free version).. er... probably shouldn't say that. :D Maybe the admins want to move the book into the WoD archiv...

Here's the book itself.

Looks like I'll be re-tweaking Witches since my previous effort is lost.

Re: Weird Computer Games (Book)

Ok will do.

Somehow, the Flying Witches cas file doesn't actually contain the version of the program that I tweaked. That's annoying... because I don't know what's happened to my version.

Bah!!!!

Weird Computer Games (Book)

Not sure where to upload this - it's 25MB which is giving the board some grief. I found this book on the web somewhere, not sure if it's of interest to anyone. Attached are the BASIC programs contained in it - four of them are a bit crap, but Flying Witches is actually pretty fun. I made one or two ...

Re: BATTLE SHIPS for a trip down memory lane

Ok. Works fine on Windows XRoar v0.27 but apparently not v0.26.

All the best.

Edit: Yeah, pretty cool game Cloete. That's a nice version of Battleships there.
