Re: MPAGD converted games - PACK #68

Pere - does that mean that the MPAGD games run faster, since it converts it to assembler vs. an intermediate type language?

Link to the start of the discussion: https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/general-discussion/the-best-8-bit-home-computer/msg139450/#msg139450 I think there are two reasons that Coco 3's seems scarce; 1) it was only sold in 3 countries, where as the 1/2 were sold in several dozen. 2) Since they are quite an...

CPC Wiki forum discussion - best 8 bit computer

I see some messages from a 'robcfg' on there... is that the same 'robcfg' here in the World of Dragon forums? If so, some talk about the Coco 3, etc. I might be able to help with some details that you can pass along: I would mention OS9 level 2 (now NitrOS9) for pre-emptive multitasking with a GUI m...

Re: A.K. Dewdney in "Dragon User"

(Namely if it will at the Centre for Computing HIstory, or the Museum of Technology)

Re: Finally tested 256K

Ciaran - do you have a copy of the J&R Banker software that they included with their 256K and 512K banker boards? If not, Ken Waters (Canadian Retro Things) has copies of them. I think it even came with OS9 Level 1 RAM disk drivers for it.

Dragon 64 NitrOS-9 - Beta testers needed for upcoming BASIC09/RUNB upgrade release

As part of the NitrOS-9/EOU project for the Coco 3, I have been working on optimizing / speeding up BASIC09 and RUNB. This is both for the 6809 and the 6309 versions. I just feature froze the current batch of updates (mainly focused on INTEGER and REAL basic math routines (addition, subtraction, mul...

Ghost Rush game for the Dragon 32/64

Paul Shoemaker just released his game Ghost Rush for the Coco this past week, and thanks to Pere Serrat, it is now available on the Dragon 32/64 in both disk and cassette formats. Paul's release blurb: "Hi everyone! I have uploaded my new game, Ghost Rush, to the files section here. It is in CCC for...
