Overview
--------

This archive contains an assortment of games for the Dragon held on 3
DragonDOS disk images. I put these together in the late 80s/early 90s
from various tapes, cartridges and disks.

The first disk contains mostly BASIC programs, mostly typed in from
magazines or books. The 2nd & 3rd are mostly some of the Microdeal
"classics" that were transferred from the original tapes. There's
even a few feeble attempts that I wrote during my mispent youth.

All the images are on bootable images that should bring up a simple
menu by typing either BOOT or RUN "MENU".

Technical Background
--------------------

I used a Dragon 64 with DosPLUS 4.9B cartridge when putting these
disks together. Some of the games were transferred from cartridge
to disk using this approach:

and hence require a Dragon 64 (or machine emulating a D64) in order
to load them into the upper RAM bank.

Many of games were transferred to disk from their original tapes
which involved in many cases figuring out how the loader worked such
that it could be bypassed in order to save the finished image to disk.

To assist with that I wrote my "tapedit" utility:

For the most part, once the image is in memory it's simply a case of
dumping it to disk however there are definately one or two where
some additional steps were needed as the game required additional
data files which were loaded from tape (I think "Underbeings of Croth"
worked in this manner). In those cases I would've needed to replace
the tape load calls with disk ones and these MAY have used calls
that were specific to DOSPLUS 4 - hence these MAY not work on an original
DragonDOS 1.0 ROM.

Some of the games (both tape & cartridge) are versions designed for
the CoCo. From memory, these either worked without issue on the Dragon
or I applied some minor patches to make them work. Either way (aside
from maybe some odd audio effects) they should work just fine.

Enjoy!
